E-Trade raises $511 mln in cash by selling Canadian business (Market Watch)
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) - E-Trade Financial said late Monday that it raised more than $500 million by selling its Canadian business as the discount broker continues to battle against the harsh impact of the housing crisis on its mortgage holdings.
